Book Drive is in full swing!!

The Cache Valley Reading Council, books for hope (USU) and Logan City Youth Council book drive is in full swing. Some members of the committees have even collected over 200 books already! However, we still need donations to meet our goal of 1,000 books to be donated to various non-profit organizations in the valley the promote literacy.

Drop sites for books are located at the following locations:

Schools/Community
Wilson Elementary
Ellis Elementary
Millville Elementary
Wellsville Elemementary
Sunrise Elementary
Providence Elementary
Heritage Elementary
Mountainside Elementary
White Pine Middle School
Logan High School
Rec Center
South Cache 8-9 Center
USU campus
TSC south door
Business bldg (NW entrance)
Edith Bowen Lab School
Ed bldg. (outside YETC)

Recipients of the books will be the English Language Center of Cache Valley, the Whittier Community Center, the Family Information and Research Center and other non-profi t organizations in the valley.

If you would like to participate, there are a number of ways we could use help...1) donate books to your closest drop site, 2) contact us to help deliver fliers, 3) get the word out to everyone you know, and 4) talk up the project!

Our goal is to collect at least 1,000 books and we're well on our way. Over the next two weeks, please help us to meet this goal by helping in the ways listed above.

If you are interested in joining the Cache Valley Reading Council, please respond to this blog post, or e-mail Melanie or Lisa for more information. We are always seeking new members to enliven our council, contribute ideas and join in fellowship...
